Summer in Alaska is fantastic! There are so many summer activities to choose from! With the very long summer days...it almost seems possible to do them all too.
When I'm not in the office, I've been riding my bicycle a lot lately...it feels good to do some exercise and to get outside! I plan on getting out a lot more now that I can. Shirleen and I went hiking yesterday for the second time this summer...we also went clam digging on Saturday. I've been scoping out the fishing holes, and plan on trying to catch some salmon real soon.
We've been trying to empty out our freezer in anticipation of a good summer of fishing, clamming, and berry picking. Last year we put away about 50 salmon and a few gallons of berries. I'd love to go hunting and fill the freezer with some moose meat, but I'm not sure if that will happen.
