So I added a bunch of updates today on our website...can you find them?  I even added a cool video of Jr. High Fall Blast when Shirleen and I were speakers...

Today was super windy.  In fact, it was so windy our power went out for about 3 hours.  It was fun to light candles and make a fire in the fireplace, but it didn't take me too long to realize how dependent I am on power.  I didn't know what to do...I could cook, couldn't watch TV, couldn't get on the TV, couldn't use our house phone (we have cordless phones)...I didn't know what to do with myself! 

What a good illustration of how dependent we are upon God.  If He suddenly stopped working in my life, I would definitely immediately notice all the things He does for me that I take for granted.  Good thing God's Word teaches me that I don't ever have to worry about God's power going out.

My Thanksgiving was good, how about yours? 

I really enjoy the advent season...waiting in anticipation of the celebration of the birth of Christ...it blows my mind when I really think about it. 

I hope you can take at least a few minutes to really think about what Jesus' birth means to you and to the world this holiday season.
