About the Londons
Adam and Shirleen met in Unalakleet in 2004 where they were both serving as counselors at Covenant Bible Camp. A little more than a year later after a few chance meetings and several emails, they realized that they their lives were both heading in the same direction. They both had a passion for Christ and for doing ministry in Western Alaska...and for each other.
On December 16th, 2006, Adam and Shirleen were married at First Covenant Church of Anchorage. They have four children; Thomas (2009), Talia (2010), Tobias (2013), and Thaddeus (2014).
Both Adam and Shirleen attended Alaska Christian College (ACC) their freshmen years (Adam as the class of '02, and Shirleen as the class of '04). After ACC, Adam graduated from North Park University with a B.A. in Youth Ministry and has served as a youth minister in two Bush villages and 4 college ministries aimed towards Western Alaska students. He graduated with his Master's degree from North Park Theological Seminary in 2012. Adam became an ordained Pastor in 2015 with the Evangelical Covenant Church.
After ACC, Shirleen explored the world a little bit by attending Azusa Pacific University, John Cabot University in Rome, University of Alaska Fairbanks, and University of Alaska Anchorage. She graduated May 2009 from Kenai Peninsula College with her B.A. in Elementary Education.
Adam now works with Covenant Youth of Alaska. Previously Adam and Shirleen worked with Amundsen Educational Center (read more about it here).
Both Adam and Shirleen have a heavy heart for the Alaska Native youth and lived in the village of Unalakleet for 6 years serving the Covenant Church as support-raising missionaries.
Currently, the London family serves in Anchorage as Adam is the Associate Director with responsibilities for Operations and Bible Camp Administration. They also help out with the Aarigaa college ministry that they helped start in January of 2007.
