Jr. High Lock-in and Laser Tag

10/20/2008

Shirleen and I volunteered at our church's Jr. High Lock-in last weekend.  It was awesome!  It felt really good to be back in "front-line ministry".  I had forgotten how much I enjoy youth ministry.  I have been wanting to get more involved in our church for a while now...so this was a great opportunity.  Also, I schooled the youth at Laser Tag.  Yeah, I need to ask God's forgiveness for my pride. :-)

Have I mentioned there has been snow on the ground for more than a week now?  I love snow.

Moose-tastic!

I'm looking out the window right now at our first real dusting of snow for the winter...I love the snow, but I'm not quite ready for it yet...there's still a few project I want to get done outside...but I suppose they'll still be there in the spring. :-)

Speaking of outside...we had 4 moose in our yard last week at the same time...1 momma, 2 calves, and 1 bull!  It was cool to hear them all talking to each other and making crazy noises.  It was getting dark, so we didn't get great pictures, but here is one picture at least.

Here are the Londons prepping a Native Alaskan meal...moose, caribou, seal, whale, bear, salmon, all kinds of good stuff. :-)
