Board Meetings...Bored Meetings?

I just got back last night from a weekend of Board Meetings.  While a lot of people refer to them as "Bored" Meetings, I think I actually enjoy seeing the nuts and bolts of a ministry.  Granted, a lot of times those nuts and bolts aren't pretty: EVERY ministry is made up of people...which means no ministry is perfect (or even close).  I sat in on the "Visioning" portion of the Amundsen Educational Center board meeting for about 3 hours...it was very interesting.  AEC has a lot of potential for growth...it will be cool to see how AEC grows in the next five years.  I also was at the board meetings for Covenant Bible Camp in Unalakleet.  I'm the secretary of that board...it's my first time being on a board, and first time being a secretary...so it's stretching, but it's good to be stretched, right?  In any case, it's good to come back to everyday life too.
