I'm sure many of you will think, "Why are these photos in black and white?"

They are NOT in black and white...those are color pictures...crazy what ash looks like, right?

Photos from Game McGimsey & Cyrus Read / Alaska Volcano Observatory / U.S. Geological Survey, Anchorage Daily News, KTUU, AP, and Bonnie Dee Childs.

Below is also a picture of the most recent SIXTH major eruption.

That is soo crazy! And I *was* thinking at first that it was weird that you'd take black and white pictures lol. I know you said that you'd covered the windows on the house, but is there a way to protect the vehicle engines? And what about when your dogs go out? Do you have to do anything special now?
