The waiting game

I am happy to report that I finished all my essays! :)  I have got them posted and the only thing left to do is my finally presentation next month that I can't get out of.  Boy does it feel nice.  Graduation is May 5; I have worked so hard to finally get here.

I went into my classroom on Friday.  My wonderful mentor teacher and the students threw a going away party for me.  I will still visit them from time to time.  The wrote a book for me called The Important Book about Mrs. London.  I wanted to cry when they presented it to me.  It is the sweetest thing.  The also gave me a book bag with books for my future students.  I already miss my students.

All last week I stayed at home and rested awaiting the arrival of Thomas Joseph.  I was happy when Adam and Steph came home for the day because I was pretty bored without them.

We picked a Chinese name for Thomas.  It is Yee Chang.  Yee means generous and Chang means brilliant.  Yee was part of my grandpa's name on my dad's side.

Thomas meets Aaka :)

Spring breaks are wonderful!  After getting some homework assignments done during spring break, we drove up to Anchorage to spend a day and a half with my mom.  With 14 days left, my mom took us shopping for Thomas.  Thank you Mom!  (Who knew babies cost so much!)  We have seen God provide in awesome ways.

Thomas will call my mom Aaka.  Aaka means grandma in Inupiaq Eskimo.  Thomas will also call my dad Gung Gung.  Gung Gung means grandpa in Cantonese Chinese.

I went in for an appointment yesterday.  Doctor says everything looks fine and it's any day now.  Doctor also said that it looks like Thomas lungs are fully developed.  I finally went in to the hospital to pre-register.  We are anxiously waiting for Thomas to come, even though I have a few more things to do around the house and a few more essays to turn before he comes.

Thank you Jenni and Alicia for painting and decorating Thomas' room!  It is awesome.  We absolutely love it!

Also, today Kristi hosted a baby shower for Thomas.  Thank you Kristi!  Thomas received some handsome outfits that we can't wait to dress him in.

We are so blessed with family and friends who have supported us through my pregnancy.  Only 28 more days until my due date!

In 31 days I hope to meet Thomas J.

My time in the classroom is officially over.  Last Tuesday was my final full day with the students.  I did go in to sub for my mentor teacher on Friday though.  I miss being in the classroom, but I am enjoying my time resting before Thomas comes.  I think Thomas is enjoying his mama resting too.

I am completely done with 1/4 of my classes so far.  Today my goal is to finish up school work for another class and then I will be half done.  I plan to have all my school work done and turned in by the time Thomas comes.  I have my final presentation for my student teaching just a few weeks after Thomas is due.  So, if you think of me, please pray that I am able to get all my work done before Thomas joins us.

This Saturday Thomas is having another baby shower.  Also, some awesome church friends are coming over to paint his room.  My wonderful husband cleaned out Thomas' bedroom.
