I am pretty sure that Tommy has developed a sense of humor. As I was reading a book in our room, I thought Tommy was sleeping. I put my book down and looked toward Tommy who has been as quiet as a mouse and see this face! He has his face pushed up against the side of his pack-n-play (bed). I had tears rolling down my eyes as I was watching him for a good two minutes or more. Now Adam and I wake up every morning to this face. I sure hope his face doesn't get stuck like that. He definitely knows how to get our attention now.

A couple weeks back I almost threw away a lot of Thomas' baby food that soemone had given us because I thought it was expired already. Expiration date: 02/2010. I really thought it was already 2010 and I was getting sad that I had to throw the food away. What kind of mom feeds her baby expired food right? I stood looking at the food for at least 5 minutes trying to decide what to do and figure out what year it was. I am happy to report that I did not throw away perfectly good food. What kind of mom would throw away good food right?
Our good friend Nick just moved across the hall from us and his parents like us borrow some awesome-ly comfy blue chairs. Adam says they look like a king and queen's chairs. So that is why Thomas is Diaper King. :) I hope you enjoy watching these as much as I am enjoying making them! Last week I walked across the street and went in to get my hair trimmed. I told the lady I just wanted a couple of inches shorter. The haircut is done and I am pretty sure that she cut off 5 or more inches. My hair is short! Oh well. Hair is hair and it will grow back.
I hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day. We did. 80 degrees and two BBQs. Life is good. We ate salmon both times. Thomas' Recent Accomplishments: -He can sit up on his own for a few seconds... as you can see in one of the pictures -He can go up on all fours and crawl a tiny bit -He eats rice cereal 2-3 times a day and loves it -He brushes his teeth with my help Everyone who has lived in Chicago before has been telling me that this past August was mild. It has been in the 70's for most of the time. I am very thankful for the cooler weather. It has helped with the transition.
Here are some pictures from our visit in Colorado last month and a few pictures that we took here in Chicago. |
